Publication date There is much uncertainty about the dates of the issues of Hidalgo's (1870-1882) Moluscos marinos de España, Portugal y las Baleares, which lack so far a competent collation, but this species is mentioned in a book review by Crosse in Journal de Conchyliologie, 25, p. 396 [issued 25 December 1877 according to Fischer-Piette, 1937] and there is stated to be published 1877 in issues 13-14 of the book.
