Description
  1. Retepora antarctica sp. nov. a. Vergroting: x25. Van Nr 608 b. Dorsaal oppervlak. Vergroting: x6. Met gebroken oppervlak (bk), dat de verdeling van de zoöecia toont. c. Toont het groot geworden avicularium. Van Nr 620 d. Tentakels dat de donkere massa in de top toont. Vergroting: x500. Van Nr 608 e. Mandibel. Vergroting: x85 f. Operculum. Vergroting: x85 g. Avicularium. Vergroting: x85 h. Kalkhoudende doorsnede dat de inwendige (aa) “condyles” (tanden) naast de basis van het operculum toont, alsook de laterale rozetplaat met “kijkglas” bedekking. Vergroting: x85 i. Aviculaire kamer, met takken die leiden naar het proximale einde van het zoöecium k. Zoöecium dat de orale klieren (gl) toont; en ook de laterale spieren.

  6. a. Kalkhoudende doorsnede van Retepora, synoniem van Reteporella dat de zoöeciale en dorsale laag toont, met ook de lijnen van de vibices zichtbaar. (a) suborale porie dat de zoöeciale kamer aanzienlijk lager binnenkomt dan de opening; (ov) broedkamer; (av) aviculaire kamer; (v) vibices. Dit is typisch Retepora, synoniem van Reteporella, maar het is praktisch getekend van Retepora crassa Busk. Challenger specimen. Vergroting: x25 6. b.
