At 9 different sites in the Weser Estuary (Germany, Lower Saxony) samples were taken from intertidal flats in 1993 and 1994. 47 species of free-living Plathelminthes were determinated. A short description of frequent species with regard to the preferred substrate and salinity zone is given.
