In the preamble Martens lays out the authorship of different parts of the book: Completed by Albers: Hyalina, Moreletia, Nanina, Sagda, Stenopus, Zonites, Pfeifferia, Helix, Bulimus (in parts), Cochlostylen, Amphidromus, Borus, Orphnus, Dryptus, Charis, Placostylus. Original notes of Albers edited by Martens: Bulimus (in part), Orthalicus, Limicolaria, Perideris, Stenogyra.
The rest of the book has been written by Martens, using Albers' notes.
