Description 2015.05.07 Het voorjaar en de zomer zijn de periodes om uit te kijken naar dit fragiel kwalletje, Eutonina indicans. Het is een hydroïdpoliep die maximaal 3,5 cm groot wordt. Zijn levenscyclus bestaat uit een poliepstadium en een kwalstadium. Verschillende poliepen samen vormen een kolonie en leven vastgehecht op stenen, planten of andere dieren.In de kolonie hebben verschillende poliepen verschillende taken. Je hebt er die voor voeding zorgen, anderen voor de voortplanting, etc. Naast het vastzittende stadium hebben poliepen ook een kwalstadium. De kwalletjes zorgen voor de geslachtelijke voortplanting en de verspreiding over langere afstanden.
