Description To mimick rainfall, a certain amount of water was poured over the sampling plot by using watering cans. This was repeated several times during the sampling campaign, which lasted about 21 days. The general idea of the experiment is to study the effect of increased and heavy rainfall on the meiofauna (organisms smaller than 1 mm that live in the sand).
