Stauridiosarsia producta (Wright, 1858)
Stauridiosarsia producta (Wright, 1858)
Description Stauridiosarsia producta (Wright, 1858) (Anthomedusae, Corynidae) from Norway (Raunefjord), size about 5 mm. This medusa resembles very closely Coryne eximia, but can immediately be distinguished from the latter by the conspicuous apical chamber above the manubrium (conical shape). The polyps of the two species are quite different. The author has granted permission to MarBEF/VLIZ to use this picture in ERMS and related biological databases hosted at VLIZ.
