Exogone acerata, a new species of Exogoninae (Syllidae, Polychaeta) from sandy bottoms off Ceuta (Spain), North Africa, in the Mediterranean Sea, is described. The new species is characterized by lacking antennae and by having long spines on the shaft heads of spinigers.
