Authority Poecilochaetus was named in the original French text written by Claparède and included by Ehlers, 1875 in his (German text) article, thus the authorship is Claparède in Ehlers, 1875. Poecilochaetus is introduced in a section beginning on p.2 headed as "Claparede's Bericht über die auf der Lightning-Expedition gesammelten Würmer" [Claparede's report on the Lightning Expedition worm collection] [details]
