Etymology The specific epithet bella is the feminine of the Latin adjective bellus, meaning 'beautiful' or 'pretty', and probably refers to the beauty of the species, which coloration is described as being "yellowish; each somite of anterior region crossed transversely by two fine complete lines of reddish brown color" (Chamberlin, 1919: 7).
