Abstract
The Zeeschelde, the brakish and freshwater part of the Schelde estuary, is heavily polluted. Oligochaetes are the only remaining macro invertebrates in the sediment. This study aims to gain insight in the species composition of this group and the parameters influencing the distribution and the effects of pollution.
