Abstract
The applicability of Reichardt's inductive method for the computation of velocity profiles in a scour hole vas investigated. This method gives excellent results in free turbulent shear flows. A numerical solution of the resulting equation in a bounded flow is presented. Results are compared with measurements and it is shown that a reasonable description of the flow field in a scour hole can be obtained.
