Abstract
    A new venerid species within the genus Lioconcha Mörch, 1853 is described from the coastal waters of Eilat, Israel, Red Sea and compared with Lioconcha ornata (Dillwyn, 1817), and Lioconcha sulcatina (Lamarck, 1818) and Lioconcha philippinarum (Hanley, 1844).
