Abstract
A cetacean vertebra was collected during a campaign of the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute (Reykjavik - Iceland) in southwest Iceland. It was colonised by five specimens of the genus Idas Jeffreys, 1876 which have strong similarities with the species described as Idascylindricus Pelorce & Poutiers, 2009. Illustrations and discussions about the identification are presented here.
