Abstract
The report represents a synthesis of information on spawning and life history of North Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) stocks originated from initiatives of both the ICES Larval Ecology Working Group and the ICES Study Group on Cod Stock Fluctuations. It gives detailed data e.g. on the structure and size of the individual stocks as well as comprehensive reviews on the spawning behaviour, larval development and recruitment. The main purpose of this report is to provide information for comparative studies of cod biology and population dynamics.
