From editor or global species database
Neotype Dahlgren & Pleijel (1995) erected a neotype, SMNH 4607, but there is doubt the qualifying conditions of ICZN were fulfilled. The specimen came from France rather than Madeira, there is no detail on consultation with peers or attempts to locate type, and the authors do not explicitly state the neotype is for the taxon Chrysopetalum caecum. [details]
New combination Moved to different genus. Augener (1913:77-78) discusses Dysponetus/Chrysopetalum in a footnote. Dahlgren & Pleijel (1995:167) cite this as the authority for recombination of C. caecum to Dysponetus. [details]From other sources
