Diagnosis Early stage trochospiral, later streptospiral or planispiral, chambers globular to clavate or even terminally furcate; wall densely perforate or with pores localized and separated by intervening nonperforate areas, surface spinose, the elongate spines arising from basal collars at the test surface; aperture interiomarginal and equatorial, or may become spiroumbilical.
