Etymology Authors: "morphologically very similar to the ‘carpet-worm’ Vigtorniella flokati, and is named for the famous Ardabil Persian carpet recently placed back on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK." As the authors have latinized the word with an -ia neuter suffix, perhaps indicating pertaining to, the word seems to be an invariant nominative noun in apposition. [details]
