Reproduction Breeds from Labrador to Alaska and southwards into the northern United States to Maryland, Colorado, and California. Winters in most of its Breeding range and south to Virginia, Texas, and southern California. Nest is usually placed in deciduous trees and seldom more than 30 feet from the ground. Eggs are laid from late April to late May. [details]
