Editor's comment WoRMS attempts to record putative fossil Polychaeta genera here, but may not track the higher classification used by particular palaeontologists. Use of the higher grouping "Polychaeta fossils incertae sedis" is informal. It references the difficulty of placing fossils in the hierarchy of extant fauna, and has no bearing on the validity of the fossil genera and species grouped here, which are valid unless otherwise stated.
