Abstract
    The 3d Session of the IODE Group of Experts on Biological and Chemical DataManagement and Exchange Practices was held at the IOC Project Office for IODE from 27 to28 November 2006. The Session was attended by five regular group members and by therepresentatives from FAO/FIGIS, ETI, OBIS, TDWG, and ICES.The Group analyzed the fulfillment of the action plan for 2004-2006 and adopted adetailed work plan for 2006-2008.The Group considered the wish of Dr. Edward Vanden Berghe, GE-BICH chair, tostep down the chair position and decided to have two co-chairs responsible for biological andchemical issues. Gwenaelle MONCOIFFÉ and Dr. Sergey KONOVALOV were elected asthe Group co-chairs.
