Abstract
This article states the manner of arriving at the mam shape of the discharge sluices in the Haringvliet.

The shape of the outer gates and the shape of the floor in front of the sluice also considered in connection with the wave attack.

From a general analysis of the phenomenon of wave impact, indications were found which led to an important reduction of the dynamic wave pressure.
