Type locality Mediterranean Sea, Tyrrhenian Sea, Italy, Tuscan Archipelago, northwest of the Island of Capraia (42º02'N, 09º49'E). The holotype was collected in one of two locations, but it wasn't stated which one is the type locality: Le Formiche, more exposed, and Cala dell'Ergastolano, more sheltered. [details]
